Planning, organizing, and coordinating cultural and environmental events
My proposal for the planning, organizing, and coordinating of cultural and environmental events offers a wide range of event types and adapts to the specific context. It can involve hundreds of people or a small group in a co-creation journey in the form of 'shared culture,' giving rise to community festivals, collective reforestation initiatives, and village walks. Other possibilities include cultural entertainment, featuring theatrical performances, workshops, concerts, and artistic performances in special places (such as micro-events in enchanting locations). My invitation is to explore in detail my cultural initiatives, which you will find below. Enjoy the journey!
Festivals on “Landscape and Community”
The festivals I propose, organize, and coordinate are a community space where I facilitate the exchange and emergence of talents through arts and creativity, actively involving citizens and associations in a collective co-creation journey aimed at strengthening the community bonds of a town, a neighborhood, or an entire city
Festivals on "Landscape and Community" take place in rural areas, agritourism, forests, city gardens, and any place where the plant and human community come together to regenerate. They are usually linked to one or more contextual riforestation events and offer many proposals and activities: theoretical and practical workshops on Natural Agriculture, bio-construction and Permaculture workshops, holistic treatments, speaking circles, thematic meetings, documentary screenings, photo exhibitions, installations, theater performances, DJ sets, and live concerts.
The Festivals I curate on "Landscape and Community" are in great demand by Public Administrations for inclusion within Cultural Reviews, or within European Projects related to environmental issues.
Micro-events in enchanting locations
The idea of micro-events came to me suddenly, during a scorching, overly touristic summer. The enchanting locations were just waiting to host them: these are evocative places of great beauty and historical significance, such as the courtyard of an Aragonese castle, an ancient watchtower, or the garden of a baronial palace. These spaces host live concerts, shadow theater performances, poetry slams, and much more.
Micro-events in places of enchantment are in high demand by public administrations as part of cultural reviews.
Community Walks
Community walks were born in me during the time of social distancing: walking together was the only allowed way to meet, look each other in the eyes, and once again be nourished by culture. As we know, every crisis brings great opportunities and new discoveries. And that’s exactly what happened.
Community walks have repopulated and continue to repopulate villages and countryside by strengthening the social fabric and providing space for talents and sharing. At last, the walking community returns as a protagonist with a poem, a song, a story to tell in the discovery of the custodians of an art, a knowledge, a memory. In the Community Walks also can be
planned an artistic performance, a planned event, a landmark theme to guide the wayfarers, like a beacon in the path.
The community walks I organize are held in collaboration with public administrations as part of cultural reviews that aim to strengthen community ties and offer a unique participatory cultural offering.
Linguistic and Cultural Mediation
The linguistic and cultural mediation I provide in Spanish and English involves facilitating communication and understanding between asylum seekers and various professionals in specific fields (psychologists, doctors, lawyers, counselors, and trainers) to bridge the linguistic and cultural gap that makes dialogue difficult, especially on important issues such as mental and physical well-being, legal status, and financial subsistence. The specific areas where my mediation services are required include psychological consultations, specialized medical appointments, legal consultations, job orientation sessions, and professional training meetings.
I mainly collaborate with Entities and Organizations within the framework of reception projects within the Protection System for Asylum Seekers and Refugees (SPRAR) now SAI.
Nature Explorations
The Beauty of Places" is my proposal for exploring nature with the timeless perspective of a wanderer: it is a walk of a few hours that involves crossing the landscape, from urban to rural, from inner to outer. Along the way, I stimulate the curiosity of the wanderers, encourage the sharing of experiences related to the landscape, and propose exploring new narrative trajectories through a critical and conscious reading of landscape elements, tied to emotional geographies and cultural issues, from ecosystem conservation to the care of biodiversity. "The Beauty of Places" is a journey on foot that invites us to observe familiar places with a new and mindful perspective.
My proposed exploration in nature "The Beauty of Places" is conducted in collaboration with School Institutions and Public Administrations as part of educational paths on environmental and landscape issues: it can be conducted in English, Spanish, Italian.
Workshops for Schools
The workshops I have created for schools are tailored to students of different age groups and offer learning paths designed to stimulate their curiosity through experiential and sensory practice. The school workshops can range from a reforestation workshop to one on creative writing, from a mask-making workshop for a landscape festival to a natural, waterless garden creation workshop. Over time, I have integrated a method that allows me, within the workshops, to reveal invisible connections and make them visible to the group of students; to encourage students' critical thinking on important topics such as biodiversity protection, education on diversity, promoting reading, and active citizenship; and to bring out the natural expression of their talents through experience, sharing, and their keen sense of observation.
The workshops I design are held in collaboration with schools (from preschool to primary and secondary schools) and are adapted to the objectives of the school project and the target age group. The workshops can take place in Italian, English and Spanish.
Coordination of (inter)national groups
The coordination activities I carry out in collaboration with School Institutes and Academies of Fine Arts facilitate logistics, on-site group management and the organization of program activities (within which I can create according to the needs of the group and the project different experiential workshops to discover the landscape, culture and virtuous realities of the rural, artistic world of the Salento territory).
I work mainly with educational institutions for educational trips and Erasmus groups, with the Academies of Fine Arts for art residencies, with the Tour Operators and private groups of people eager to learn deeply about the Salento area.
